Aardvark Science Expo is today

Judge orientation starts at 8am, please note that Oleson Road is closed at Beaverton Hillsdale Highway so an alternate route needs to be used. See the Aardvark Science Expo page for more details.

Feb. 5th $5 Middle school registration deadline

Today is the $5 deadline for middle school projects directly entering Intel NWSE. New this year is the ability to email paperwork directly to me at nwse@pdx.edu. The benefit is you save postage; the downside is I am not printing them out, so you must have your copies at set-up with the poster or the student will not be eligible for prizes. Do label each page sent with the exhibit number.

For projects following the MSEZ rules you need to send a signed MSEZ form for each student on a project and 1 set of procedures. If the project used the ISEF rules forms 1, 1A, 1B (one per student), research plan and whichever special forms are needed for the project. Human Subjects Form 4, Vertebrate Animals Form 5A or 5B, PHBA Form 6A & 6B for tissues. These forms must ahve all applicable signatures.

Online Registration

We have removed the SSL certificate for online registration. Hopefully this will fix all the errors.

We have multiple volunteer shifts and judge needs to fill.

Intel NWSE welcomes Lam Research

We are pleased to announce Lam Research as our newest sponsor at the Gold Level.

AFOR registration errors

The registration system is now on a new server and has a secure address (https). If you are unable to get to the login page, you need to adjust your SSL setting to allow the security certificate. If you are not able to adjust your settings, please try from a different computer. For Internet Explorer, if you go to Internet Settings Advanced tab then scroll to the bottom you will see checkboxes for SSL.

New Intel ISEF categories announced

The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair has announced their new categories for 2015. The Northwest Science Expo System is not matching all 20 categories, but this list may be useful for determining which category your high school project should enter under.

Registration closing for maintenence

AFOR will close on October 31, 2014 as we make some security upgrades. It should reopen Monday November 3, 2014.

High School Category Changes

NWSES has updated several high school categories to better fit with the changes being made by Intel ISEF. I will be updating exhibit numbers for projects currently registered as EA, ET, VA and VM. Adult Sponsors will need to log in to online registration to view the new Exhibit Numbers.
