2012 NWSES Registration is Open

Welcome back everyone! Click on the frog in the upper right corner to get started.

Next year the Intel Northwest Science Expo will be Friday, March 23rd. This is the day before Spring Break for most Oregon educational institutions. Set-up for middle school projects will be Thursday, March 22nd. We know the timing may limit the ability of some students to participate. Please make sure that students are able to attend before adding them online. Registration will close February 22nd. Tentative dates for Regional Fairs have been updated, though individual fair pages may not be current.

27th Intel NWSE will be April 2, 2010

If you are starting your project over the summer, high school students need to visit for the 2010 rules and forms.  The human subjects form has huge changes.

Intel NWSE 2009 Awards

Thank you sponsors, teachers, parents, judges, volunteers, staff and students for a great science fair.

Click on the title of this blog to reach the attached results.

Record number of judges

Due to the Oregonian article we have more judges then ever before. All category judging spots have been filled. If you are a member of a local organization, sponsoring a special award, please register by noon on Monday otherwise we can not guarantee you a lunch.

We do still need other volunteers for various jobs.

Thank you!

Intel NWSE updates and needs

We need more people to judge our 300 middle school projects. Middle school judges do not need a degree, but they need a good understanding of the category they volunteer to judge.  Follow the frog at the upper right corner of the page to sign up.

Adult sponsors and students: an SRC report was just sent to all Intel NWSE adult sponsors listing project status. Corrections to middle school projects are due March 20th.  Corrections to high school projects are due March 25th.

Also we need more volunteers to perform safety checks on the project displays. This is a really fun volunteer job. There is a training video posted in Volunteer Info under the Intel NWSE tab at the top of the page.  Watch the video then follow the frog to online registration.
