Oregon Junior Science & Humanities Symposium

Students, Parents, and Mentors,

Oregon Junior Science & Humanities Symposium is sponsored by the US Army, Navy, and Air Force and is open to all High School Students from the state of Oregon who are US Citizens.

The first round of the competition is a blind judging of student research summaries. All authors of submitted Research Summaries will be invited attend the 2019 Oregon JSHS competition held at the Evergreen Aviation Museum in McMinnville, OR. Twelve student semifinalists will be selected to present at the 2019 Oregon JSHS competition for the chance to win scholarships and a trip to the National JSHS. Students and mentors will be staying overnight under the famed "Spruce Goose" while exploring ideas in engineering, aviation, and technology. We will also be building and launching our own rockets.

Oregon JSHS Student Scholarship Awards – A total $4,500, awarded to the Oregon finalists: 1st place - $2,000; 2nd place - $1,500; 3rd place - $1,000

January 1, 2019: Student Semifinalist Invitations will be sent to the top 12 student Research Summaries

February 1-2, 2019: Oregon JSHS Event at Evergreen Aviation Museum
