NWSE deadlines & display
March 18 is the last day to change categories. There are several needed in middle school which I emailed teachers about yesterday. It is also the last day to delete or withdraw a project. Please verify with your high school students that they will be attending and withdraw them if not.
Friday March 21 is the last day to edit forms, TITLES, and turn in corrections. I will be printing over spring break. It is also the last day for students to update demographic information (which helps me get grants and fund the fair).
Slide decks are due April 3 for both middle and high school. No videos. A maximum of 15 slides of content. See the 6 required slides HS is in the requirements doc, MS in the template.
Posters: display requirements are at https://nwse.org/display-and-safety-regulations/ They are very different for middle vs high school. Please share with your students before spring break.
There will be no electrical access for anyone. School names are only allowed on official forms, nowhere else on the exhibit.
High school students are allowed a computer, but should never leave it unattended, props meeting the rules are also allowed. All charts, photos and diagrams must have the source.
Middle school students are only allowed paper. This includes on their poster and a binder sitting on the table. Anything not paper will need to be covered or removed. Make sure they are all aware as I’ve had fake flowers, candy and a hard boiled egg all removed in the past. A single citation can cover all images, charts etc.
