The Central Oregon STEM Expo will be Friday March 5, 2027 as a hybrid judging fair. This means slide decks are due for scoring prior to the fair and all interviews are in-person.   It covers the territory East of the Cascades.  

The paperwork deadline as well as online registration deadline for the fair is February 12, 2027 by midnight. Forms and Research Plans need to be uploaded to AFOR.

There is a $20 registration fee per project. Checks should be made out to the PSU Foundation or use the Donate Today button and specify in comments. Mail the registration fee with the school registration form to:

11 AM to Noon, Optional Campus Tour led by OSU Student Ambassadors*

Noon – 1 PM, Check-In and Set-Up, Edward J. Ray Hall Atrium, Open House in OSU Science Labs

1 – 2:30 PM, Interviews with Judges, closed to public

2:30-4 PM, Public Viewing, students remain in exhibit hall

4 – 5 PM, Optional Campus Tour led by OSU Student Ambassadors

4 -5 PM Finalist Interviews

* OSU-Cascades Dining Hall is located in Obsidian Hall and is open from 11 AM to 2 PM for lunch.

Saturday Feb 27 to Friday March 5 – Access to project submissions for scoring

Friday March 5, Noon to 4 PM I-Person interviews at OSU-Cascades, Finalist Judges Stay Until ~ 5:30 PM
