Portland Public Schools is excited to offer a district-wide science and engineering fair opportunity for high school and middle school students this year after many years on hiatus.
The 2025 Portland Public Schools Science Expo will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Leodis V. McDaniel High School, 2735 NE 82nd Ave., Portland, OR 97220. (This fair is for PPS Students only.) Project registration is free to PPS students.
High School students must be registered by their adult sponsor through the NWSE registration link and have all forms and materials submitted by 3:00 pm on February 12, 2025. Required paperwork includes the research plan and all required ISEF forms. Teachers and students should use the Forms Wizard to identify all forms required for a particular project. Middle School students compete in their school fair with finalists moving on to the district-level fair. Finalists must be registered by their adult sponsor through the NWSE registration link by 3:00 pm on February 12, 2025. Middle school students will need to submit a Google folder containing the MSEZ form, with both student and parent signatures, as well as a Google slide deck containing procedures and abstract.
